Stainless steel check valves achieve automatic opening and closing through the pressure difference generated by the flow of the medium: when the medium flows in the forward direction, the valve disc opens under pressure, allowing fluid to pass through; when the medium stops or flows in the reverse direction, the valve disc closes under gravity or spring force, blocking the backflow path. Based on their structural form, stainless steel check valves can be divided into three types: lift, swing, and butterfly:

 

Lift Check Valve: The valve disc moves up and down along a center line perpendicular to the valve seat. Suitable for small-diameter, low-flow-rate applications (e.g., DN15-DN300), offering excellent sealing performance but relatively high flow resistance;

 

Swing Check Valve: The valve disc rotates around an axis outside the valve seat to open. Suitable for large-diameter, high-flow-rate applications (e.g., DN200-DN1200), offering low flow resistance but relatively weak sealing performance;

 

Butterfly Check Valve: The valve disc is disc-shaped and opens by rotation. It has a compact structure and is lightweight, commonly used in low-pressure, large-diameter pipelines (e.g., DN300 and above).
