Working Principle Of A Ball Valve

A ball valve controls the flow of fluid by rotating a ball. When the orifice of the ball is aligned with the pipeline axis, the valve is fully open, allowing unobstructed flow of the medium. After rotating 90°, the orifice becomes perpendicular to the pipeline, the valve closes, and the medium is cut off. Its opening and closing process is rapid, taking only 0.05-0.1 seconds, and it has low flow resistance and low pressure drop, making it suitable for scenarios requiring rapid shut-off or regulation.
