A check valve is a valve that opens or closes automatically by the force of the flowing medium to prevent backflow. Check valves belong to the category of automatic valves and are mainly used in pipelines where the medium flows in one direction only, preventing accidents.

Structural Classification
Based on structure, check valves can be divided into three types: lift check valves, swing check valves, and butterfly check valves:

1. Lift check valves are available in vertical and horizontal types.

2. Swing check valves are available in single-disc, double-disc, and multi-disc types.

3. Butterfly check valves are straight-through type.

The above check valves can be classified into four connection types: threaded connection, flange connection, welded connection, and wafer connection.
